The next deadline to apply to be listed on the roster of CT Commission Teaching Artists is January 12, 2007
In addition to being used as a general resource for Teaching Artists, this roster is referred to by institutions that are eligible to apply for funding from the CT Commission to bring such artists.
The CCT Directory of Teaching Artists provides an important resource of 60+ artists for schools, non-profit institutions, community-based organizations (such as youth-service bureaus), social service agencies, senior centers, and other settings that wish to engage the services of teaching artists.
The Directory of Teaching Artists features artist educators selected for their artistic excellence and teaching ability in dance, media, multi-disciplinary, music, theater (includes storytelling, puppetry and circus arts), visual arts, and writing & poetry.
Who May Apply
• To be eligible, applicants must:
- be Connecticut residents
- be available for residency work in a variety of settings including schools,
after-school programs, and community, cultural, and arts organizations.
- demonstrate experience working in a variety of settings.
• Teaching artists accepted to the Directory prior to July 1, 2005, who did not re-apply in March or April of 2006, must re-apply.
• Artists included in the CCT Directory of Performing Artists who meet the eligibility requirements and selection criteria, and wish to be included in the Directory of Teaching Artists may apply.
Application deadline is January 12, 2007.
