Hartford Police Chief Daryl "Quicksand" Roberts
continues to dunk himself in the mire of his own
spoken words.
Yesterday, on the Colin McEnroe Show,
Roberts actually said: "[Ken Krayeske] was arrested
based on his actions after he was detained."
Who knows what Roberts could have meant. Clearly,
the Hartford chief was bothered by Krayeske exercising
his constitutional right to remain silent other than asking
for a lawyer after his bogus arrest for taking photographs
of the governor's inaugural parade.
As McEnroe points out in the WTIC podcast,
Roberts also contradicted the Hartford PD arrest report.
Roberts claimed cops did not know who Krayeske was
before the arrest. A detective in the report states that
before Krayeske was arrested: "I immediately recognized
the accused as Kenneth Krayeske from the photograph
provided by the State Police."
In another podcast taped Tuesday, Krayeske's counsel,
Atty. Norm Pattis, spoke to the extraordinary handling of
this matter by the Hartford State's Attorney's office. Pattis
said it was bizarre, abnormal and startling, in that it is being
treated unlike any other case.
Pattis went on to say: "My primary witness is Jodi Rell ...
... If she didn't feel threatened, who did?"

From Colin:
I promise to fix up the audio links when I can, but for now, do yourselves a favor and go over to the WTIC site and listen to my interview with Chief Daryl Roberts. And you can listen to Norm talk about how he would subpoena the governor too, while you're at it.
