WEDNESDAY NIGHT POETRY SERIES
featuring Suzanne Heyd

Suzanne Heyd's work appears in recent and forthcoming issues
of jubliat, Nimrod International Journal, Beloit Poetry
Journal, Spoon River Poetry Review, and others. She was a
finalist for the Best New Poets 2005, Emily Dickinson Awards
in Poetry, the Robert Penn Warren Award, and the James
Fellowship for Novel in Progress, and has been awarded a
poetry residency at Vermont Studio Center and a fellowship
from the National Endowment for the Humanities. She lives in
Connecticut, where she is a freelance writer and director of the
literary program and Arts + Literature Laboratory. She holds
an MFA in poetry from Vermont College. Her work has been
nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

NOTE: Heyd, a former high school English teacher,
was a mentor for young writers in the IMPAC-CSU
competition. She was also a featured speaker at an
annual dinner for the Young Writers Trust.

WNPS, the longest running weekly poetry series in
Connecticut, boasts an open mike, feature poets, a Q&A
with the feature, and a poetry critique workshop.
