New Haven - WTNH) _ A former New Haven police officer is shedding light on the inside workings of the department and Lt. William White Sr.
It was the mid-80's when Vince Riccio joined New Haven police. Crime in the city was up, murders way up, and drugs were seemingly taking over the streets. Riccio said there was intense pressure to clean up and it was in this environment Officer William White Sr. thrived. His methods may have been unorthodox but White got results.
