With the Lewis Mills [case], the district may find themselves with a court decision saying kids can say douche bag on their web sites as case law, so they may not be able to correct that behavior--ask for an apology, etc. if this happens in the future. If they had stuck with the apology, and maybe some restitution/detention they would still have that option for discipline for the future, because she probably would not have appealed it.
