State University Young Writers Awards
dinner at the Litchfield Inn.
The top awards at the event went to Melanie Lieberman of Rockville High School and Maya Polan of the Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven. Lieberman was the winner of the prose competition and Polan the poetry competition.
The winners earned all-expenses-paid trips to the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award competition and the Dublin Writers Festival in Ireland later this month.
