As they'd say on "Seinfield", "yadda, yadda, yadda". Am so glad I don't
have an acct at Enfield Fed. And gotta wonder how many others will move their accts as a result of this
leak.

So the Enfield Fed prez is also a
reader of this blog? Is there anyone in Enfield area who doesn't read this blog? This little saga is more interesting than any soap opera on the tube. Who said there nothin' good on during the summer!

What's really cowardly is to leak private information and then not take full responsibility for the offense. Is the Enf Fed Bank prez accusing the blog of leaking this person's private mortgage info? How would the blog know who has what bank holding their mortgages?? Does the blog work at Enf Fed?? I don't think so.

How does one "take back" leaking a piece of personal information. How can that be resolved? Damage is done. Privacy was breeched. What will be promised now? That this won't ever happen again?
Enfield Town Manager is likely wondering why the heck he ever decided to take a job in such bizarre town. And the previous manager is likely happier than ever he was pushed out of Enfield.

>>>Is Troiano’s Magic Wand Bent?
Dunno about any magic wand, but are he and his family still using dealer plates on their personal vehicles? Because that's tax dollars going uncollected.

>>> Property is certainly worth more than $2 million to Enfield taxpayers.
Let me get this straight? The Council agreed to sell Asnuntuck property for only $2 million to the State because that was the property's worth at time of some 1980 lease? Who was dumb enough to agree to such a lease? What's today's market value on this property?
I got my tax bill last week and I'd much prefer to pay taxes on what my
property was worth in 1980s. Can that be arranged since Enfield officals clearly don't wish to collect what's owed to them in property values. Oh, that's right. They only want to stick it to the homeowners.

>>>How long will it take for the investigation to be complete?
Which investigation? There are so many of them ongoing. I'm still waiting for the mayor to produce the Bernie's receipt for his new stainless steel kitchen appliances. Should be easy enough to do, to put a halt to that one.
Cuz isn't that how much of this blog discussion started? Over reports that Enfield officials were getting "employee discounts" from Bernie's for a tax break?

>>As much as the Tallarita family would like to think that no one looks at the blog they are certainly wrong. So many peope around town are reading it the older people middle aged and even teens.
Oftentimes people who misuse power
are the last ones to notice things crumbling down upon them. Delusional or maybe its just ego, and a belief that they're untouchable?? Whatever, downfalls occur all the time.
Hopefully the voters of Enfield will be a lot more careful in the future when electing new council members. And future council members will remember that this blog sees and reports all! So watch your step.

• Patrick Tallarita has told associates he is essentially giving up his seat for the remainder of the term.
Really?? 'bout time! But its likely 2 years too late. So much damage as already been done during his rein. Frankly, a few more on the council should step down since they were well aware of what was going on, but did nothing to put a halt to it. Shame on everyone for hiding their heads in sand.

Haven't anonymous tips help break many a case? Aren't anonymous tips encouraged and sort out by police? So then why aren't anonymous comments held in the same esteem? As long as info is "true" I don't care how someone submits the info, and thus far, none of the facts presented here have been reputed. Have they? If this site was a bunch of bull, no one would be logging in. Interest would have fizzled, not sizzled.

While I never completely discount an anon. opinion, I don't hold them up as the same as a comment that someone is willing to put their name by.
I understand that being able to post under an alias is necessary for some Bloggers, but I put more weight to the things that people who have real names have to say.
Having a lesser valued opinion is a price they pay for balancing their need of privacy, IMHO.
Think our legal system would concur that a number of criminals are nabbed thanks to anonymous tips. The witness protection program exists to protect such.
So just because a "name" isn't provided, doesn't mean the information isn't valuable or crediable. In fact, folks may be of even more help, if they know there's no chance of retaliation.
>> I put more weight to the things that people who have real names have to say.
There's a lot of folks in this town, quick to "use" their names to impress. Wanna know how much weight that carries with me? Zippo.
Too many in this town hide behind their family names.
HAS ANYONE BEEN FOLLOWING THE RECENT MANEUVER BY DEPACE TO PLACE A MORATORIUM ON AGE RESTRICTED HOUSING AND WHY??
Age restricted communities are a huge advantage to Towns. They are tax dollar cash cows with little to no $$ burden to the Towns. The Town doesn’t pay for road and infrastructure maintenance, lighting, etc. And because no children under the are of 18 years of are allowed to live in these communities, there is no $$ burden on the school system, which is the largest line item in a Town’s budget. And many of the people that own these homes head South for the winter, again less burden on Town services.
In the 2000 census, there were 45,200 people in Enfield. 6,200 were 65 and older. The census does not give a statistic for number of people 55 to 64 but that's probably at least another 6,000 people. How many 55 age restricted units have been approved in Enfield that are not yet build or sold. The project by Dartmore is "assisted living" and not built yet (Not the type of age restricted the PZC is focusing on). Then there's Troiano's project of 42 units not yet built, oh, did I say Troiano? There are a dozen units for sale at the project across from the police station (new and resales). Not sure about the project out on Taylor Road. So could there be 60 to 70 units approved or available. That's a needle in the haystack when there's a population of 12,000 or more that could potentially want these homes.
So, what is the urgency for a moratorium??? Why can't the Commission do whatever review or evaluation of the regulations that it feels necessary to do without imposing a moratorium?? Or is there some other "hidden agenda" or motive???? Consistent with what's been going on in Enfield Town politics which is the subject of various investigations???
Troiano's have been unsuccessfully trying to sell their 42 unit age restricted parcel for the past year and a half for a price tag of non less than $1,700,000.00? Won't the moratorium buy the Troiano's more time to sell or if other’s are approved, will that adversely affect Troiano? Let's see: 1) There's not an over abundance of age restricted units in Enfield, 2) No one is breaking down the doors to get a huge amount of age restricted units approved in Enfield, 3) There are numerous good reasons to have move age restricted units in Enfield which were listed earlier not the least of which is producing substantial tax revenues for the Town which will not be matched by a substantial tax burden. So why a moratorium???? Why is DePace leading the PZC ring leader? Connect the dots!!! All roads lead to...."
Are you kidding? Are you dump? Don't anyone know the connection between DePace and Troiano. What's new? Why do you think the investigators are looking into the land deal where Enfield Fed is now located. CVS was denied locating on that site. But somehow, Troiano was approved, not only for the Bank but also for a huge office building. Go figure!!!!!!!!
You're right, all roads lead to....
