Rebel Voices On Stage


Rebel Voices
To Debut
At Culture Project

Rebel Voices, Rob Urbinati's stage adaptation of Howard ZInn and Anthony Arnove's book Voices of a People's History of the United States, will play The Culture Project, November 10 - December 16, with an official opening slated for November 18. The book is comprised of first-hand accounts from people who shaped the course of American history, including Sojourner Truth, Frederick Douglass, Malcolm X, Stella Nowick, Camilo Meija, and others.

The show's permanent cast will include Staceyann Chinn and Allison Moorer. Guest artists will include Ally Sheedy, Wallace Shawn, David Strathairn, Lili Taylor.

Zinn, who will appear at the opening performance,is also the author of The Zinn Read, You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train, and the play Marx in Soho. He is a professor emeritus as Boston University.
