Comments Raise Issue Of Federal Law Violation

Hmmmmm.....

Doesn't this email violate federal law , given that it is a communication by a school official regarding a student's disciplinary record to someone other than the student's parent or guardian? I presume, of course, that Niehoff did not have a signed release from Avery or her mother authorizing the public disclosure of this information.

This is quite the irony! A teenager made an ill-considered remark, sent it into cyberspace and it made it's way to the administrators. It appears now that the principal has made some ill-considered remarks, sent them into cyberspace and they have made their way to the public. Of course the kid's remarks did not break federal law! But, assuming that the principal is prepared to reap what she sows, like Avery, she is no longer eligible for leadership positions!!!
