REQUEST FOR PUBLIC RECORDS related to:
#FIC 2007-418, Andy Thibault v. Paula Schwartz, Superintendent of Schools, Regional School District #10, Docket # FIC 2007-421, Andy Thibault v. Paula Schwartz, Superintendent of Schools, Regional School District # 10, and Docket #FIC 2007-458, Andy Thibault v. Paula Schwartz, Superintendent of Schools, Regional School District # 10.

Dear Sir:

This is a request for unredacted public records in accord with the state Freedom of Information law.

As you know, a substantial number of available documents sought in requests and complaints beginning Aug. 1, 2007 were not produced by your predecessor. You took the affirmative step, on your own, to send me some of those records last month.

Could you please review those 2007 requests and complaints and produce the outstanding documents that should have been produced last year.

From the Aug. 1, 2007 request:
meeting minutes, memorandums, phone logs and e-mails regarding the administration's handling of these matters. In addition, this request covers copies of the write-in votes submitted for Ms. Doninger and any and all related records including memos and e-mails. Memos and documents include but are not limited to discussions about the seizure of free speech t-shirts by your staff.
To amplify, this request covers any and all public records about this matter in your possession or control, regardless of where they are stored, whether in your office and office computer, home and home computer, etc.

If any lawyers claim any of these records are subject to attorney-client privilege or should be redacted in any way or withheld for any reason, please submit those with an inventory for in-camera review by the FOI Commission.

To elaborate, any and all public records responsive to those requests that are or were stored in home computers of Paula Schwartz, Karissa Niehoff or any other personnel, or stored in any other location within their possession or control, are covered by this request. This information is vital to the public interest. Much of it was withheld illegally by Schwartz. Accordingly, I request a waiver of any and all fees.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Andy Thibault

I know I have said this before in eMail BUT:

Thanks for the work you are doing here. There are a lot of people in Connecticut and, likely, other states as well, that are following this story.
