Newsday has decided to no longer run the usually insightful and thought-provoking columns of Les Payne. That's a damn shame.
Les is a legend in the journalism world, a tough, gruff, no-nonsense, deep-thinking man, whose authoritative columns were always well researched and delivered with a fresh perspective.
