CCSU Faculty Senate To NYC Mayor Bloomberg: Prevent Racist Abuse Of Police Power

RESOLUTION

The Faculty Senate of Central Connecticut State University decries the unwarranted arrest and detention of our colleague Ravi Shankar on July 10, 2009. We further condemn the racist comments and action by members of the New York City Police Department. We call on the City of New York to investigate this arrest and to institute policies to prevent the racist abuse of police power.
