Acclaimed Novelist, Oprah Literary Icon, Friend Of Young Writers, Mentor To Prison Writers And All-Around Good Guy Wally Lamb is believed to be considering an assignment as a Summer Breeze Ring Girl for the Gaby Versus Iceman CT Young Writers Triple Knockout Event Jan. 15, 2010 at The Hartford Club.

Last month, Lamb gave this signal of his intentions:

"I ain't wearin' no bathin' suit unless it's one of those old-fashioned ones ... "

Whereupon CT Young Writers Trust founding board member Franz Douskey embarked on a shopping spree.

Then, just the other day, Lamb told Douskey:

"I'm going to keep checking the weather reports, and as soon as hell freezes over, I'll appear in public wearing a bathing suit. I'm also on the lookout for Andy's and Ravi's lost marbles. Don't want to slip on any of them."
