The undercard features some of the newest – along with several already-established – household names in professional boxing, including New Haven, Conn., veteran Elvin Ayala (21-5-1, 9 KOs) facing former world-title challenger Samson Onyango (20-7, 13 KOs) of Newark, N.J., in a six-round super middleweight bout. Fellow veteran “Machine” Mike Oliver (24-2, 8 KOs) of Hartford – a former super bantamweight world champion and winner of three consecutive fights – will take on Sande Otieno (16-2, 7 KOs) of Nairobi, Kenya in a six-round bout.

Inks title contender Sande Otieno
Chicago Illinois (January 26th 2011) People's Champ Boxing (PCB) is very proud to have signed Sande Otieno of Nairobi, Kenya to an exclusive promotional contract. Mike Leanardi, CEO of PCB, announced the signing early Wednesday morning saying; "Whenever you can lock in someone as talented as Sande Otieno, you never hesitate a second to think about it". Leanardi went on to say that he believes Otieno's future is looking very bright and looks forward to working with manager David Kotei to ensure Otieno's quest for a world title shot becomes a reality.
"I am pleased to sign with People's Champ Boxing and feel my management along with Mike Leanardi can work hand to hand to bring me one step closer to a title fight. I will be campaigning [between] 122-125lbs and will let my fists do the talking" Otieno was quoted when he was asked about his signing with People's Champ Boxing.
Leanardi suggested that he would love for Otieno to get a shot at Puerto Rico's undefeated Super Bantamweight/Jr. Featherweight (122 lbs) champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. When he was asked about his fighter's chances at dethroning the current champion, Leanardi stated; "Otieno has all the tools necessary to defeat Vazquez, there is no doubt Otieno belongs on the big stage."
