Who's holding Coppler's mortgage? Troiano, or Enfield Federal? That's what I want to know. Did he get any appliances at Bernie's?

Who's he out campaigning for now?
Hope he's using his vacation time from his State job for any political field trips to Iowa or NH? Don't want my tax dollars supporting his adventures.

> Enfield has been flirting with sending its budget to referendum. I’m relieved to see that so many council members, including the mayor and the minority leader, are against the idea–it would be a nightmare.
Exactly "why" would be a nightmare for the voters of Enfield to be able to vote on their town budget? Contrary to what the Council may believe, they do not know what's best for the people of Enfield. Just look at the last couple of years. They do what's best for them, not what's best for the
community. So its little wonder they would be against a referendum.
Other towns allow their voters a "say" on the budget, so why not Enfield? It beats sitting in the useless hearing or meeting where the Council doesn't listen to what the voters want.

> Town manager Matthew Coppler confirmed he has a mortgage with Enfield Federal
The only way this is newsworthy is if Coppler got a sweetheart deal on his Enfield Federal mortgage. Did he? I don't particularly care where his mortgage is, or who he bought a home from (unless of course, it was from the mayor's wife). Or if any of the Council members, who are real estate agents, assisted him.
I do care if he's turning a blind eye to any unscrupulous activities by council members or town employees. Cuz T-Ville doesn't stand for Troiano-ville either.

What does this say about Big Anthony? Apparently, the nuns aren't his only victims. Even though he's the richest man in town, he has no problem screwing over everyone else who's poorer than him if it'll put more money in his pocket. He really thinks he's God's great gift to creation (especially the nuns) when he's nothing more than a local oil baron who cheats people like a used-car salesman.

Don't know who's getting the tax bill for all this, but my guess is
that this particular tax bill is less than it should be. And that the rest of the Enfield taxpayers are taking it on the chin for these kind of local-yokal political shenanigans.

Wasn't Coppler hand picked by this current Council? As things continue to play out, is it any wonder why? He ain't no Scott Shanley. Even Enfield's asst town manager has more experience running a town this size, than Coppler.

Does is really make a difference "who" gets this tax bill? Face it,
all the Enfield taxpayers are getting the shaft cuz of all these political favors.

> The bank sits on a parcel that was deemed unsuitable for development
Wasn't this the same parcel that housed a historical old Enfield home? The house was demolished so this bank could be built.
The Town took the time to have an old barn, alongside of the new Senior Center, dismantled board by board, but chose to bulldoze this older home? Hummmm, very interesting.

Question on the table? Who works at Enfield Federal that has a brother on the Town Council? Could be possible family/table conversation? Don't employees of a bank sign a confidentiality agreement? If Coppler was defaulting on his mortagage at Enfield Federal he needed to have the assisatant town manager take over this issue.

> "I am an intermediary between the council and the bank," Coppler told The Cool Justice Report.
C'mon, as the Enfield Town Manager, Mr. Coppler is a highly paid, influential town employee. Not some ostrich with its head in the sand. Scott Shanley must thank his lucky stars he's in Manchester now.
Would appear that some Enfield officials have elected to become nothing more than the "see no evil, speak no evil, and hear no evil" puppets. Hopefully the Enfield voters remember their ploys come election time.

Maybe some time in purgatory will help our beloved mayor to find a calling to real "higher office", up with President Bush's "higher father". Troiano acts like he's already there. No doubt Pat is on his way to join him.
I forgot. With the way thing have gone, Tallarita and Big Anthony will have trouble getting into purgatory, let alone heaven. What will God think of men who thought nothing of cheating nuns for profit? If you ask me, it's up there with cheating widows. May God have mercy on their souls, for they can expect none from the townspeople.

Why are Big Tony, his son (Little Frank), and their spouses allowed to drive cars with CT dealer plates from the DMV. Is it so they do not have to pay Enfield personal property taxes on their cars? A tax we all have to pay. Town officals need to check.
DMV rules state that you must be a full-time employee (minimum 35 hrs) of a dealership or repair shop to use a dealer plate. Didn't the garage close (for rent sign in the window)? Is an oil dealer a car dealership? Is an oil dealer a repair shop? Isn't that Frank, Big T's son, in the oil company commerical? Those are expensive cars not to be on the tax rolls.
CT DMV webb site has available the state rules regarding dealer plates.
They have had dealer plates on all their cars for years.
I guess they are above the law and rules don't apply to them.
Owning a oil company isn't grounds for someone to drive their personal vehicles around with dealer plates. Clearly, some folks in Enfield feel they're special and above the law. Even worse, those who are suppose to be enforcing the law, haven't been doing their jobs.
If the head of the State ethics committee had to get rid of his VT
license/plates and register his car in CT cuz the State was losing out on revenue, then so should these locals. Enfield taxpayers are losing out on some much needed revenue here. Maybe they could even collect some back taxes?
