But What If They

Really Are Douchebags?

From Appellate Law
& Practice Blog

Prawfsblawg and others are reporting there is a lawsuit by a student against her school for removing her as "class secretary" because, because she called school administrators "douchbags" for some decisions they took. Technically speaking, it wasn't really a "blog" but a "livejournal." As we all know, Livejournal is stupid. Anyway, the suit names Principal Karissa Niehoff and Region 10 Superintendent Paula Schwartz (of the Lewis S. Mills High School in Burlington, CT) as defendants. It is unclear whether they intend to deny that they are "douchebags" or not.

The school administration has made all sorts of wacky-lay-people comments to the news media that make no sense, and further explain why it is bad policy to allow non-lawyers to make decisions. (e.g. "leadership positions area privilege, not a right.")
