It is unlikely that this or any school has the time to become the Thought Police, trolling the Internet searching for evidence of teenage pique. Ms. Doninger’s mother, Lauren, said she disapproved of her daughter’s behavior and had asked the school district to let her deal with the situation. The district should have let her. Instead, it overreacted.
