Heard On The Street:
• Enfield Democratic Town Committee Chair Karen Weseliza has told party members she will not run again.
• Tony DiPace, the former Planning & Zoning Chair who tried to shut down the Enfield Montessori School [with a bogus cease and desist order for the school parking lot], has been asking party members for support to succeed Weseliza.
• Brian Peruta, a former town council member opposed by former Mayor Cocoa Puffs, is also vying to lead the local Democrats.
Analysis: Some local Dems speculate Peruta would win a secret ballot election to head the party while DiPace could win a vote by show of hands.

if these are the best the Enfield "Spend-o-crat" party have to offer the good people of Enfield, looks like the Enfield Republicans will have a wicked
long tenure in the Council and BOE.

Peruta got trounced by Bosco in Nov. So if he's the cream of the crop for the Enfield Dems, there's major problems within the party.
Dipace? Long live the GOP in Enfield! Will his campaign team be Tallarita, Crowley, and Weseliza? We ain't exactly talkin' the dream team here.
As for Peruta? Who cares. I hear he's done as a dem. They story inside is Tally-rita and Freddy-rick are backing Dipace and hate Peruta for telling the neighbors about their Simon Road development. Can you say revenge? They can. This is better than reality TV.
I want a Dipace vs Turner cage match.
Can you say mayor Kaupin again?

doesn't Peruta live in the neighborhood near that proposed Tally-Freddy Simon Rd development? perhaps he was just acting upon the wishes of his neighbors? wonder if he can shed some light on the gated Scantic River access/park on Simon Rd?
