Imagining Amelia
No one knows precisely what happened on Amelia Earhart's last flight, but Connecticut author Chandra Prasad, a Yale University graduate, has written a novel that explores the life of the pioneering woman pilot and imagines what happened on her ill-fated journey around the world.
Prasad will talk about her book, "Breathe the Sky: A Novel Inspired by the Life of Amelia Earhart" (Wyatt-MacKenzie Publishing, $14.99), on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hagaman Memorial Library, 227 Main St., East Haven. This event was rescheduled from Dec. 16. To register, visit the library or go to www.hagamanlibrary.info or call 203-468-3890.
Hamden writer Chandra Prasad made a smashing debut two years ago with the Yale-set novel, "On Borrowed Wings."
Now the writer is back with a second novel, "Breathe the Sky," suggested by the life of Amelia Earhart.
